I had the happy coincidence of getting to meet up with Bryan Keith Parker at the last furniture market. Turns out our long time family friend Jill, who is fabulous fun, is also a friend of his, a stylist, and had come down to market with him to help set up. Jill and my sister have been BFF’s since the third grade and they love to get together when Jill is in town. Anyway, a call from Jill for some local resource suggestions lead to me finding out about Bryan and them learning about my blog. Of course, when offered, I was interested in the opportunity to drop by the Style Craft showroom to meet Brian and see the line up close and personal.
The Bryan Keith line presents Modern Stories For The Home. Offering chic comfort and modern esthetics which meld classic styling with modern expectations. Bryan sums it up like this, “I’m a storyteller using color, pattern, and finishes to bring a home to life”. The product offerings include bedding, furniture, home decor, and window treatments. You can learn more about Bryan and visit his website here.
This particular console table is a top seller, incorporating wood with iron and curved lines with straight lines. This piece offers and abundance of space for decorative items, books, storage bins, and more. The companion side table completes the look.
Style Craft approached Bryan about designing some pieces for them after seeing his line of bedding. Some of his bedding patterns even show up on lamp shades and as framed art prints. To display his bedding, Bryan fabricated a rustic wood and iron headboard just for display at the market. It was drawing a lot of attention so we might end up seeing it as an official offering at the next market.
I have always admired the unique quality of a curio table to show off special collected items in a space. Easily catered to the owners taste by the objects chosen to be presented. These curio tables were modern and exciting in black metal. The clever design incorporates a drop down front that opens to allow you to inset items.
One of my favorite things about market is the seeing and meeting of friends both old and new. I’m glad to have made a new friend this day. We had a great afternoon which included lots of laughs, interesting stories (Jill has a million), a little inspiration, and a lot of great products. I enjoyed meeting Bryan and was thrilled to have the opportunity to view his growing line. I was glad I could contribute to the day by showing them some of my favorite “interesting places” to visit at market ( If you want to be wowed go to the Taracea showroom in the Radio Building). Then they were off to catch a plane.
Bryan draws “organic inspiration” from his roots and his travels.Be sure to visit the web site of Bryan Keith – Modern Stories For the Home to see additional products and learn more about Bryan. You can also find Bryan Keith bedding at major retailers like Macy’s and Kohl’s. I saw where he was doing a little globe trotting. Can’t wait to see what that inspiration brings. Thanks to Style Craft for letting me drop by and thanks to Jill and Bryan for a fun afternoon. – Marianne
